List of widening countries : Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, La Réunion, Mayotte, Guyane, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin, Madeira, Açores and Canarias, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.
The EIC Pre-Accelerator 2025 offers grant funding in the form of a lump sum ranging from €300,000 to €500,000. The grant covers up to 70% of eligible project costs, with the remaining 30% to be co-financed by the beneficiary. Projects can be funded for a maximum duration of two years.
The EIC Pre-Accelerator 2025 is open to single applicants (mono-beneficiaries), specifically SMEs or small mid-caps based in Horizon Europe widening countries. Eligible applicants must:
Develop a high-impact innovation capable of creating new markets or disrupting existing ones, with a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4;
Hold the necessary Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to ensure freedom to operate and appropriate protection of their innovation;
Present a clear go-to-market strategy, including key milestones and concrete, measurable KPIs to track progress;
Demonstrate strong ambition and commitment to scaling up their innovation.
Proposals must be submitted through the Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal before the official deadline.
